Overall a nice campground with a lot of amenities. Id bring earplugs if youre tent camping, as the tent area isn't very secluded. Also bring a mallet as the ground is hard and rocky. Food was pretty tasty. One odd thing is they ask what your name and campsite is when you order anything at the store. River access is a big bonus as well.

The good:
it was extremely easy to find since the GAP runs straight through it. Covered shade area with a table & chairs to sit after cycling. Charging stations near my tent. Free showers close to my tent/bike. Inexpensive for 1 night. Ability to get dinner after about cycling 48 miles. Great stop for people bike packing. Had laundry but I didn't use it.
Suggestion:
A rack to secure a bicycle to vs. the tree a had to find. I was glad my cable lock was long enough.
The not so good:
the staff in the cafe/restaurant were very young, didn't listen well & if I didn't repeat multiple times or pay attention to the wrong reponse from her, my order wouldn't be correct. A bit oblivious to customer service.
Overall I was happy & my dinner came out okay.

As a local who visits the Blue Canoe Resort often, I have to say kudos to General Manager Terri and her entire staff! This resort has so much to offer. Sites are spacious, plenty of activities, three heated pools and a spa! They also have rentals for e-bikes for the bike trail, canoes for the river and so much more! They are always upgrading the resort.
As a RVer who has stayed at many parks across the US, this Roadville property is at the top! Highly recommended .
Keep up the great work!

If you are riding the GAP trail, this is the place to be. It's got plenty of level sites, pool, game room, restaurant, gift shop, mini-golf, and live music Friday nights. All sizes of RV, trailer, and tent sites. Everything is clean, neat, and the staff are super nice / friendly.
It's literally right on the GAP trail - the trail goes right through the middle of the camp! The river is right there too, so if you're kayaking or tubing, you got it!
We stayed for 3 nights - rode the GAP trail during the day, and hung out at the camp evenings. My wife loved the '80's Southern Rock band, I have to agree they were very good.

The scenery around the RV park is gorgeous. The amenities are nice and clean. The employees in the store and Cafe / ice cream are extremely slow and unfriendly. They never greet you when you appear at the counter, ask if you found everything you were looking for or thank you for your business. In fact, there were only two employees that ever smiled or nodded their head in acknowledgment. One was an older man that had a permanent place on the other side of the bike path (I think his name was Jim) and a younger kid who was always on the work cart driving around working.
It seems like the rules are for some but not all. While watching my grandchildren swim in the one foot pool I was sitting on the edge drinking water out of a covered yeti. The cleaning lady (at least I assumed it was since she was coming from the showers, no one wears any type of a uniform) came and told me that no drinks were allowed at the side of the pool. Yes, I saw that on the rules, and yes, I didn't follow it so I don't have a problem with someone correcting me however, I do have a problem when I see all the people first thing in the morning sitting in the same area drinking their coffee out of coffee cups. You also see people sitting in the pool drinking both alcohol and non-alcohol drinks, some in koozies and others not, in ( I emphasize the word "IN") the adult pool and hot tub.
In regards to the speed limit of 5 mph, apparently that only applies to golf carts not electric bikes or automobiles. I witnessed Terri screaming at some of my family members for driving the golf cart too fast (one that wouldn't go over 5 mph according to Google maps). There are ways to approach problems and that's not one of the ways. I also saw/heard her standing between R2 and R3 site telling an employee that these people were the next ones she was going to straighten out. If she really is a general manager, as a employee, Blue Canoe should step up and have her attend an anger management class. If she's the owner, then I would say that what she really wants is a private park and she should make it such.
The number of "Karen's" (I actually hate this term but when it fits...) in this park is unbelievable. I actually feel sorry for the woman at the corner lot across from the pool. She apparently doesn't have a life or the only joy she gets is to see hell rain down on others.
My husband and I have been camping for 40 years and never have we seen a manager/owner act the way Terri acts. For the amount of money we spent for 5 nights we will not be coming back, there are too many other parks to visit that strive to be the best when it comes to customer service.
