Elk Creek Escape

The owners were very kind, but we were disappointed because we chose this place counting on the pool. Although it is advertised, the pool is out of service. Additionally, there isn’t much to do in the area. We believe the owners should be more responsible in advertising what is truly available for their guests. The bathrooms and showers were not very clean either, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights.

Elk Creek Escape is a very cute and quaint location to stay. If you're looking for a rustic area in which to spend time enjoying being around the nature of Hillsgrove, PA, this is a great place to stay! Also, if staying at this location, I recommend checking out the local businesses/eateries like the High Knob Inn, and the McCarty Mercantile. Also, shout out to Russ who was very helpful! God Bless!

My family booked a cabin for Labor Day weekend, showed up and the cabin was double booked and were told they don’t have a cabin for them. We have documentation stating a refund would be issued but it never happened. Our credit union has disputed it and were told services were rendered, which is completely false. My family had to rent a hotel room for their duration in Williamsport. They were not the only ones stranded that weekend and double booked. I would think twice before booking a cabin here, we are out $329.78.

Had a wonderful time at Elk Creek Escape. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The cabins are clean and cozy. Looking forward to my next stay!

Spent a weekend in Cabin C and from start to finish our stay was amazing!! Connie’s communication was fantastic and immediate. She told us to check in with the GM Russ on arrival and Russ is the absolute best! He took us to our cabin, made sure we knew where everything was and what was around. We felt welcome right away. Russ was so friendly, so helpful, and so kind, he was a huge factor in our feeling like we’d been coming to Elk Creek for ages. The cabin was clean and well appointed with comfy beds and clean linens. The mini kitchen had everything we could have needed. This campground will be our new go-to for weekend getaways in Forksville. I’ve loved this town my entire life and Elk Creek and Russ are just one more great thing to add to the list. Cannot wait to go back!
