Lizard Creek Campground, It's Familytime

I have been camping here from Wednesday through Sunday afternoon, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best camping experiences of my life.

From the moment we arrived, Jennifer, her husband, and their entire team treated us like family. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Their customer service is truly outstanding. They constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed, were always available to help, and made us feel welcome every single day.

This campground gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time—it allowed me to completely disconnect from the stress of everyday life. I honestly can’t wait to come back, and I know this won’t be my last visit. I plan to return again and again.

I’ve visited many campgrounds over the years, and even though this one isn’t the biggest, it is by far the best. It proves that what truly matters isn’t the size—it’s the people, the atmosphere, the respect, the organization, and the way guests are treated. If everyone follows the rules and respects one another, this place becomes a little piece of paradise.

If you’re looking for 100% comfort, I highly recommend staying in the Great Getaway House. Wow! It is absolutely incredible. You’ll feel like you’re at home while enjoying the perfect vacation.

I also left with something I never expected: new friendships and people who now feel like family. That alone made this trip even more special.

I recommend this campground 100%, and I would come back a thousand times without hesitation. Thank you, Jennifer, your husband, and the entire team for making this an unforgettable experience. See you again very soon!

Our family loved this campground. We are experienced campers since 2020 who began with tent camping, then a pop up and now have a hybrid. We have been to places throughout NJ, PA and NY and this is now one of our holy grail campsites. The quality of the campsites is exceptional. It is clear the management and staff make this a priority and if you camp or RV you would know why. If we still had a tent I would be so happy to use their grassy tent sites. Their clean bathrooms have a key lock as well. The reviews on this site are subjective because camping is diverse: some locations are resort like and the sites look like parking lots, some locations are more natural but they have tons of small spaces and other locations are very rustic. You have to know what you are looking for. We like water body facing places that skew more natural. We don’t like resort like places. We like to bike, hike, kayak, play board games , sit by the fire. It’s not bad to have lots of arts and crafts and events at campgrounds but it’s not a deal breaker. Our extroverted 10 year old told us she loves this place. An endorsement from her is big. My message to the owners is to not change your values, standards and vision. The right people will come and keep coming back. I know we will.

My family had a great time here, we will definitely be back. The pool was wonderful, with the great weather we had we used the pool every day. The activities were also a lot of fun with theme weekends!

All of the 1 star reviews are appropriate as well as the description of the owner being a poster example of a Karen. Stayed there last year and the year before with nothing but hassle, will never go back under current ownership. The campground is actually nice, however not worth the negative interaction with the owner and her entitled staff. Can’t wait to see the “Karen” defensive response she’s given to other unfavorable reviews.

Our stay was amazing! Peaceful and everything a weekend getaway should be! The view of the creeks while sitting by the fire was everything you see in movies. The amenities are simple and well done. The team working there has customer service as their main focus. Thanks for a great holiday weekend!
