It doesn’t give me the option to say I have been on every little campsite, but with that said I have been, and it has always been a pleasure and a great experience. The owners are awesome when I lived in Conneaut Ohio, We would camp there every weekend, whether it be renting a cabin when for the family gatherings or just had tent sites when our friends came up to visit. I love this place. I can’t wait for opening day!

Great camp ground, very helpful and friendly staff. RVs near the lake, tenting in the woods behind (see pics for #22 & #23 sites). Very quiet but trains run nearby and you hear their horns all night. Store is small with limited selection, some merch, too. Use the keypad instructions at the gate to gain entry then head to the office to check in. Map is a little off for scale but reasonably accurate. Had a very nice stay.

This campground was amazing, very quiet and peaceful, exactly what my partner and I were looking for in a weekend away. Not the best for little kids if you are looking for amenities, but great for adults. With the only exception being there was little to no call service. So we could not even research where to eat in the area, directions, anything really beyond sending a text. And not even that by the lake. Wifi would have been appreciated.

A Bright Gem on Lake Erie – One of My Top 5 Campgrounds!

As a solo female traveler who works on the road, I’ve seen a lot of campgrounds and Virginia’s Beach has easily landed in my top 5!

I didn’t plan ahead (hello, holiday week!) and ended up hopping between three different campsites during my stay, and honestly? I loved every minute of it. Each spot offered something unique and special:

✨ Site 1 was at the edge of the property with a panoramic view of the entire campground. Open skies, lake breezes, and a peaceful vibe to start my stay.

🌳 Site CF4 tucked me under shady trees with a lovely view of the lake and lots of family energy. This would be perfect for families with kids, laughter in the air, and a cozy feel.

🌊 But the star of the show? Site S9 — THE gem of the property. Only one neighbor, an unobstructed view of the lake, and front-row seats to breathtaking sunsets and glowing sunrises. This is their primo spot. If it’s available, GRAB IT. Pure magic.

The entire campground is beautifully maintained. The grass is so soft I was barefoot almost the entire time (my dog loved it too!). It’s incredibly pet-friendly, and my pup and I made up our own hiking trail every day.

🛶 Easy lake access with sandy and rocky beaches, a boat ramp, plus kayak rentals (I brought my own paddle board and had no trouble getting to the water).

Pro tip: The strongest cell signal is near the fishing pond bring a picnic blanket if you need to catch up on emails!

🛁 The bathhouse? Clean, hot showers, great water pressure everything a traveling camper needs.
🌙 I felt safe walking around at night, met so many kind and helpful people who help care for the place, and truly felt part of the little lakeside community.

I was genuinely sad to leave and can’t wait to come back. Virginia’s Beach is bright, peaceful.

Great for tenting or rv camping. They offer season passes. Great rates. You can even tent with water and electric hookups, which is what we did this last time. We also took our camper there a few times two years ago. They offer firewood and other items for sale if you need them. Guests are even allowed to visit even without staying the night on the grounds. Playground for kids, kayak rentals, and beach access! They offer cabins as well and have bathrooms with showers for the campers in tents.

T18 is the best tent site big enough for a couple families! This one includes water and electric hookups.
