We have stayed at Blue Rocks numerous times- every July since 2018. This includes 2 up coming stays for 2026.
Restrooms- They keep them clean. Alwyas wear shower shoes just because, but the staff has offerings for a handicap/ family friendly shower and mens/ womens facilities.
Spots- We have a 37 ft travel trailer. It takes some driving to get it into our spot, but i also knew that buying my trailer. Thats an ish-me if you will. Be polite to your neighbors and youll be surprised how it really opens the experience at the camp ground.
Food- Woodies is amazing. The food is excellent and ice cream is even better.
Prices in camp store- I needed and extra poo line extension for the full hook ups. The prices in the camp store were really fair. Even with Walmart a half hour away, the prices were close enough that it would be a waste of time to get it anywhere else.
Stuff for kids to do- Look- there are few places that I allow my feral creatures to be feral. The playground facilities are among their favorite. That says a lot, as we reside in NoVA, with some playgrounds that are flat out amazing. If your into hiking or RC trucks, this is the place. Trails for days!
Staff- I can't say enough for Jed and his family and the staff. They are on top of any issue. One year (2021 I believe) when we arrived and got the TT settled, my truck battery died. Their tech brought up a voltometer and was moral support as I Diaged the problem. My neighbor gave me a ride to Autozone to get a new battery. It really is the small stuff.
We will continue to stay at Blue Rocks. When we say we are going camping, the first question out of my kids mouths is "Are we going to Blue Rocks?" That says more than I could ever.

My family LOVES BLUE ROCKS!! We camp at Blue Rocks whenever we can find the time. The other campers that we’ve met have always been friendly and respectful, the bathrooms/ showers are comfortable and well maintained. We hike the beautifully maintained and appropriately challenging trails that take you to lookout points on the Appalachian Trail- the blue trail is very doable and the yellow is more challenging (quite steep at times!) but worth it. Our kids are so proud, happy, and ready to chill by the time we return!
In the summer, we hit up the pool and Woody’s restaurant and in the colder months we hang by our fire and usually get to know a neighbor. The playground and general store are available and well kept. The staff is always friendly and on task. We always feel like we are in nature and in friendly community. My only problem with Blue Rocks is that it has set a high bar that I can’t seem to find elsewhere!

Absolutely love it! Highly recommended 100%.
Great time as always stayed week in July and this past weekend.
Several years renting cabin. Many in the rustic cabin by the pond and loved it and tried out Arrow Head cabin and loved it.
So peaceful and beautiful.
Cabins are very well kept clean.
Everyone working there is so nice.
Looking forward to next time getting ready to book next stay ♥️

Blue rocks is an amazing campground. It's a very unique place. It has a Boulder Field it has a giant glacier field as well as incredible hiking trails that ultimately connect to the Appalachian trail. One of the most family-friendly campgrounds around. Rangers Sue is vigilant and has no mercy for excess noise and unruly campers. The owners are also super friendly and helpful once they let me charge my dead battery in their automotive garage. We love this place so much we got a seasonal site.

We love staying at the Blue Rocks campground during Halloween time! Our kids love trick-or-treating and the costume contests. Everyone is so friendly! The camp sites are spread out perfectly - we can see other people but we still feel like we have our privacy. And the rocks are absolutely beautiful!!
