About Ives Run

Ives Run Campground sits on the eastern shore of Hammond Lake in north-central Pennsylvania. Surrounded by lush forested ridges, the lake offers recreation for the entire family, including picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting and wildlife watching. Ives Run, with its beach and grassy sunning area, is a great place for kids of any age. The facility has campsites as well as group picnic shelters that can be reserved for family reunions, company picnics, neighborhood gatherings and other group events.

Our site was clean and ready for us. It was a quite unlevel (Hawthorne 23), but very shady and pleasant. Having full hook ups for the 12 days we were there was wonderful. There was a trail mowed through the grass right behind us and our cat enjoyed it immensely. There was quite a bit of sap dripping from the pine trees that made for quite a mess on our truck, but a little research led us to hand sanitizer as a good remover. We enjoyed fishing on the lake and riding our bikes on the Pine Creek Trail. We enjoyed touring the new Visitors Center and riding the new section of the trail from Wellsboro. And we had wonderful subs and ice cream from PagOMar. We enjoyed our stay and will be bringing our granddaughter with us when we return in July!!!

What a beautiful campground. Manicured lawns, paved level parking. Pay attention to the site description, as power and water hookups are further away than average. You may need a second hose or extension cord. With the open grassy layout, it can get a bit windy with the wind coming off the lake. Overall, a great place. I will be coming back.

We always enjoy our time at Ives Run. We can ride Pine Creek trail or around the campground. Fishing was good. Most of the campsites are really nice
