Enjoyed the stay at Ives Run. First time we stayed. It was referred to us by others and was just as great as we were told. The only problem was the weather. (Can't control that) Have scheduled for next year already.

One of my favorite campgrounds. We usually camp primitive here but this time we stayed where we were connected. We have a large rig so parking when crowded can be trickery on this loop due to the degree of the angle of the driveway. Not the most convenient. But overall loved the sight and campground.

Beautiful view, site is level and paved. Be aware that the water and electric hookups are about 50 feet on the street side of your trailer, so bring extra water hoses and electric cables.

Some tree removal had been recently done next to sites 147 and 148 and no effort had been done to restore either site. They were complete mud pits, complete with large truck ruts, wood fragments, and a fire pit that was left at what must have been at a 45 degree angle. Had my reservation been more than two nights, I would have asked for a new site or a refund.

Site 113 was spacious and fairly level. Had a little bit of shade from a large tree. Power was far from the pad (closer to site 114), but with an extension cord we made it work. Heard coyotes close one night! But otherwise it was a quiet relaxing stay. Very nice bathrooms with flush toilets and hot water showers, always clean. A few hikes and nature trails within a short drive of the camping area. Did a walk around the other loops and there honestly was not a single bad site. Some were a little more shaded than others. And some had a nice view of the lake. I liked Hickory loop because it was so private with no sites behind us.

The primitive campsites are in a nice quiet area away from the main campground

Except for the rainy weather, which can't be helped, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campsite was clean and the full hookups were great - although a little far away, but we were prepared for that as we have camped at Ives Run for many years. We both loved the proximity to the Pine Creek Trail and went on rides the days it didn't rain...so much fun. My husband had a great time fishing in the lake. We've now stayed in every loop and can't really pick a favorite. We'll be back in July!
