This is a beautiful campground with wide, spacious lots overlooking the lake while surrounded by mountains. The camp store has basic supplies but you are also close enough to Wellsboro or Mansfield for anything more substantial. The ATT cell coverage was good and provided enough data to stream movies. The bathhouses are okay. They are are clean but need a coat of paint/refresh. The wildlife (deer, groundhogs, rabbits) were abundant. There were lots of great playgrounds for the children. The only odd thing was, we never saw a ranger or camp host in person during our whole stay. There are camp hosts, but no one verified our passes or stopped by our site (and no one is at the entrance gate, which lowers the security protections).

We ended up in the Hickory Loop, 118. Nice site. A bit of traffic due to the road to the Pine Loop being nearby. We originally booked a tent site in the Pine Loop but changed once we saw that the bathroom was a building containing vault toilets and not flush toilets with water. No indication of that on the Ives Run page. One other thing. the restroom/shower facility in the Hickory loop was a 4 unit combo shower/toilet room. This facility is small considering it served both Hickory and the Pine Loop campers that had to travel the 3/4 mile to use a facility with water. For comparison, the Hawthorn Loop was a building with showers (4) separate from the 4 stall restroom side and therefore could accommodate more people than the 4 unit Hickory combo restroom/shower facility.

It’s a campground minutes from our home, but it never disappoints! My husband and I have been camping here since we were kids and now we get to bring our kids! There truly isn’t a “bad” spot anywhere in the park. We always have the best time with so much to do when we visit every year!

bathrooms are horrible! Site flooded - literally had water under my steps as the water had no place to drain. Other sites not affected by same rain fall. Electric needs re run to avoid power cords going through standing water

This is a bit of a complete and there is probably nothing you can do about it. Several of us who enjoy camping at state parks have found that people will book several campsites in a row and then may be only use them on Saturday Sunday and they are not available through the week. Maybe they are senior citizens and feel that they can afford to lose 40 bucks a night by not being there but those of us that really want to camp and get on the website can't find anything available. Like I said I guess there is nothing you can do about it but it is certainly irritating to a lot of people that I have talked to. When I booked I was running for Jeune there was only one available in the loop we were in, but when we were up there there were six or seven that were open the whole time.
