About Ives Run

Ives Run Campground sits on the eastern shore of Hammond Lake in north-central Pennsylvania. Surrounded by lush forested ridges, the lake offers recreation for the entire family, including picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting and wildlife watching. Ives Run, with its beach and grassy sunning area, is a great place for kids of any age. The facility has campsites as well as group picnic shelters that can be reserved for family reunions, company picnics, neighborhood gatherings and other group events.

Some tree removal had been recently done next to sites 147 and 148 and no effort had been done to restore either site. They were complete mud pits, complete with large truck ruts, wood fragments, and a fire pit that was left at what must have been at a 45 degree angle. Had my reservation been more than two nights, I would have asked for a new site or a refund.

Beautiful view, site is level and paved. Be aware that the water and electric hookups are about 50 feet on the street side of your trailer, so bring extra water hoses and electric cables.

One of my favorite campgrounds. We usually camp primitive here but this time we stayed where we were connected. We have a large rig so parking when crowded can be trickery on this loop due to the degree of the angle of the driveway. Not the most convenient. But overall loved the sight and campground.

Enjoyed the stay at Ives Run. First time we stayed. It was referred to us by others and was just as great as we were told. The only problem was the weather. (Can't control that) Have scheduled for next year already.

Very nice campground however your sites are very hard to back onto. The roadways are very narrow and we do not like getting off the road or campsite pad & driving on the grass. One suggestion to make it easier to back onto the sites is to go back about 8 feet at every site and put a 45 degree concrete extension onto the pad. This would make it much easier to back on the site without having to drive thru the grass.
