About Kellettville Recreation Area (PA)

Half of Forest County, where Tionesta Lake is located, is preserved as public lands. The region is known as one of Pennsylvania's best big game regions and is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife. Campers come to the Kellettville Recreation Area Campground to enjoy the forested area along Tionesta Creek. The area is ideal for fishing, hunting as well as scenic hiking. Tionesta is a culturally rich region with a long history. The Seneca Indian tribe named this area "where the water separates the land." Nearly a century ago, narrow gauge railways dotted the surrounding countryside, hauling out virgin timber from the hillsides.

Quiet on weekday new ATV trail got a little loud price is for us $45 nite no electricity no hot water no drinking water peaceful quiet nice fire pit table and road bit bumpy 40 mi to gas station and town

The site was absolutely beautiful, campsite neighbors were great, and the water was lovely for me and my dogs. The only downside were off-leash dogs down the road who weren't under control but we just avoided them :) Will absolutely be back!

The campground is nice, but Army Corp. need to stop cutting all the trees. Without electric people like some shade.
That would be nice.
Whatever the case shall be ...we will continue to come back year after year

the grass in the campgrounds was deep but the next day they cut it making a wet mess. al so one of the sites had a some ones camping stuff on it but it was held for some one else , they had to call the rangers , that took a lot of time to fix.

We stayed 5/17/24 to 5/20/24. The campground was clean and the grass cut. The bath house Needs updated. The pit toilets ran out of toilet paper on 5/19 and there wasn’t any in them on 5/20 when we left. There was a camp host onsite. The campground was almost full, but was peaceful. We have Verizon and service was one bar LTE. We would stay there agian.

A quiet campground in a beautiful area. Nice campsites with good gravel base. Pit toilets and flushable toilets in season. Riverfront camping available.

If you are arriving without a campground reservation, you must pay for camping before you park.
Please check to make sure the campsite you wish to occupy is not currently reserved prior to setting up to camp. If you occupy a reserved campsite, you will be told to move.
Visit Recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777 to determine if campsites are open and to pay for open sites.
If you have reserved a campsite and wish to change campsites upon arrival, you must call Recreation.gov at 1-877-444-6777

Parking on the grass is prohibited.
Two vehicles maximum per campsite.
No alcoholic beverages.
There is a limit of 1 wheeled camper and 1 tent per campsite, or 2 tents per campsite.
Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information..
