The Outflow Recreation Area offers a peaceful and quiet camping experience, with friendly hosts and well-maintained campsites. Visitors appreciate the beautiful scenery and spacious tent sites, especially during week-long stays. However, some facilities, particularly the restrooms and showers, need significant improvements, and the access road has potholes that could be better maintained.

The park is awesome and host was very friendly. The road in could use some work. This particular park would benefit if the camping rates were lower during the week to entice people to camp during the week. The little town of tionesta could benefit also if more people camped during the week.

It's a lovely area and I will return to Outflow. But the bathroom needs some serious attention. It was always clean, no issues there. But it is very old and worn out. Really need new facilities.

Weekday camping is so nice since we had our section of campsites to ourselves. Camp was nicely prepared for our arrival. Perfect weather made it even better. Fishing Tionesta Creek and Alleghany River are close by and offered nice catching of bass, walleye and northern pike, w some musky chases.

Very small camping area. Bathrooms were not very clean. No lights in 2 of the bathrooms and no working shower. People were friendly and the area was pretty quiet.

For something that is suppose to be open in April, the bathrooms were not swept out leaves, acorns, cob webs… no hot water.. pictures very deceiving..NO place i would ever go again.

From Pittsburgh take I-79 North. Merge onto I-80 East exit 116a toward Clarion for 9.8 mi. Take the PA-8 exits 29 toward Barkeyville. Turn Left onto Pa-8/State Route 8 for 16.4 mi. Turn right on US-62 and follow US-62 for 34 mi. Turn right onto 36...

Turn right on US-62 and follow US-62 for 34 mi. Turn right onto 36 South in to Tionesta. Turn right at the stop sign and continue 36 south for 2 mi and South Elm Street 1.5 mi into the Outflow Recreation Area.
From Warren travel US-62 South for 30 mi take left onto South Elm Street 1.5 mi into the Outflow Recreation Area.
Outflow Recreation Area is accessible via I-79 and I-80, with connections to PA-8 and US-62 providing routes into Tionesta.
