What Guests Are Saying
The Outflow Recreation Area offers a peaceful and quiet camping experience, with friendly hosts and well-maintained campsites. Visitors appreciate the beautiful scenery and spacious tent sites, especially during week-long stays. However, some facilities, particularly the restrooms and showers, need significant improvements, and the access road has potholes that could be better maintained.

My tent site had old leaf litter from last year and un-Mowed that I wouldn't dare have a fire because the fire ring & the whole area was full of old dried leaves...
My picnic table was old and had peeling paint terrible, unusable....!
My loop had no working water spigot, the only water was a distance away...
Nevertheless I enjoyed "Peter's Run" the creek behind my site, it made the site appealable to me.... I stayed one night, and was up at dawn the next day packing to leave... I was out of there by 8:30 a.m.

The park grounds were clean; I would recommend going for the first 20 sites. 30 to 33 we were kinda on top of one of another. We did like the river it was quite beautiful.

Camping limpio, organizado, con baños y trails cerca. Nos llovió por la noche, y aún así estuvimos a gusto.

We made our reservation and paid online, drove an hour and a half, only to get there and find the entire road and facility blocked off saying no entry. I called the number posted on the USACE sign on the blockade as well as the number for the park I found online with no responses. After walking in on foot to investigate and finding no buildings open or other signs of life, we decided it best not to stay because with my luck a ranger or someone would show up later that night and tell us to pack up. Very frustrating.
