What Guests Are Saying

Squarewood Acres Campground is a beautiful and peaceful location that offers a welcoming atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and excellent amenities like a trout stream and reliable Wi-Fi. Many guests appreciate the friendly management, particularly Chuck and Marie, who contribute to a sense of community. However, there are concerns regarding recent management changes, as some visitors feel communication could improve, especially regarding group accommodations. Overall, the campground remains a cherished destination for nature lovers.

A truly special place with a disappointing change in management.

Squarewood Acres will always hold a special place in my heart. The previous owners created a welcoming atmosphere that made every visit memorable, and the campground itself remains a beautiful place to experience nature.

Unfortunately, my experience with the new management was very different. I organized and paid for a large camping trip to introduce many first-time campers to this lifestyle. We worked hard to ensure our group respected the campground. I personally checked the restrooms daily and reminded everyone to follow the rules.

Before planning another trip, I even informed management that some members of the previous group would not be returning because they had not fully met the standards we expect from our own camping organization. Despite taking those steps, I was told that our group would not be welcomed back, without receiving a clear or meaningful explanation.

When a group pays for a service, clear communication and professional management are essential. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and, personally, with the impression that our predominantly Latino group was not treated fairly. Whether or not that was the intention, that is how the experience felt.

The campground is still a magical place, but good locations also need transparent, respectful, and professional management. I sincerely hope future guests receive the same warmth and openness that made this place so special in the past.

We have stayed here twice a year, and this is our 4th year going here. It is a beautiful, quiet campground. Nestled between the mountains and the creek. My husband loves fishing here. Lots of wide open spaces for walking the dogs. We love coming here.

Popped in for the beginning of the Holiday weekend and it was very convenient. Chuck and Marie are as sweet as they come and the facilities were a great value for the money. Very clean and organized place nestled in between the mountains. If your a trout fisherman youll have plenty of resources to keep you busy as well!

We had a wonderful time at this campground! Our full hookup site was in great condition and you could tell the whole place has had a recent refresh – everything looked well cared for and inviting. The trout stream running alongside the property was a highlight; we enjoyed fishing and even cooling off in the clear, refreshing water.

The Wi-Fi actually worked (a rare find at many campgrounds!), which was a nice bonus. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. You can tell they truly care about their guests and the property.

Between the beautiful setting, the amenities, and the warm hospitality, this campground is a gem.

If you are clean for a place to chill this is where you want to be. Peaceful, respectful and very friendly atmosphere. Everything was clean and well kept. It was the perfect place to relax. Even on one of the busiest weekends, July 4th, we had plenty of space at our site. We enjoyed playing in the creek and watching fireworks from different locations all from the campground. Thanks Chuck and Marie it was a wonderful stay!
