It was simple camping but the location was wonderful. I even saw dolphins jumping on the intercoastal waterway and lots of snowy egrets across the water. There, however, were quite a few mosquitos. They did have showers for which I was very grateful.

Nice facility. Spacious sites. Bathhouse could use updates for those that don’t have facilities in camper.

We enjoyed our trip to Buck Hall. The location was amazing and there is lots to do in the area. Only drawbacks were: major fire ant issue (we bought 🔥 ant powder and spray to resolve) on our site, the bathrooms were out of order (we found out the day before travel so we brought our own compost toilet and pop up tent)), and the neighbors were so loud that we were up until about 3 am the first night. (We turned white noise on, on my our phone the 2nd night) So with the right accommodations, your family will be prepared! The people were so nice and the location is right on the water- can't beat it! Will return!

The campground was beautiful and the price is great for what you get. However, the camp hosts at the time did not put our reservation tag up, so another person took our reserved campsite. The hosts told US to go to the over flow campground, even though I had the site reserved and another family was obviously stealing that site. That family moved sites multiple times throughout our stay and did not pay for any of them. They were loud and vulgar, drinking and arguing way in to the night and no one said a word. We ended up staying on a walk up site. We had noisy neighbors the first night along with the loud family, and our neighbors were a bunch of teen boys drinking and being ridiculous. They came late and left early, probably also not paying for their site. We took matters in to our own hands and told them to keep it down at 1:00am. The bathrooms were also disgusting. It would just be nice to have camp hosts that actually do their job instead of mooching off the free site they're getting. They were not accommodating at all, along with the bathrooms being nasty and the lack of care for PAYING customers... it was awful. It would be nice to have seen a Forest Ranger actually checking on the campground too. If the view from the sites wasn't so nice, I'd give this place one star. If you have low expectations and don't care about details, just want a cheap place to camp, this will work for you!

No pottable water. Toilets and urinals were not functional. Restrooms in general were very dirty. There was a lot of dump truck activity during the day hauling and dumping dirt.

Very nice view. Clean, Quiet. Good spacing between lots, however, open area without trees / privacy.

This park would be easy to rate higher, with a little TLC. The grass really needed mowed and the water fix. The water problem caused the shower house to be closed. According to the campground host, water issue had been a problem for months

Very scenic campsite on the intracoastal waterway. MT Pleasant / Charleston a short drive away to some excellent restaurants. Don't forget to hit-up T. W Graham's in McClellanville -- they know how to do southern seafood -- been around for a hundred years or so!
