Current campground hosts have done an excellent job this year! Campground was the cleanest it’s been in a long time. Bathroom was nice and clean also. Overall we enjoyed our time and will continue to camp there. It would be nice to keep HC open through October.

Really love Hawe Creek. The site we were on has a water problem when it rains. It needs some more gravel. Water does not run off. The camp hosts are outstanding. Steve and his wife and Mike and his wife do an awesome job. Looking forward to next visit.

We really had a good time on this camping trip. My only complaint was that there is no boat access on the site we stayed on (site 4) and that there is poison ivy everywhere. It's like the Corp has decided not to improve any of the campsites at any campground. Wonderful campground hosts (Steve and Jennifer).

I have been camping at Hawe Creek since I was a kid. We moved to McCormick from Florida in 2016 and live less than 2 mi from this beautiful campground. We have already been twice this year. Beautiful sites right on Lake Thurmond, most sites you can pull your boat right up to. Very quiet and relaxing.
