I continue to return to Cherry Hill. The campground host is friendly and available to help, the bathrooms are always clean and functional, and spaces are far enough apart to insure quiet. It is also very near several great hiking trails.

Lovely campsite in the Blue ridge mountains. I am glad I could go to the same site again! Site 13 is a great one for a hammock in my mind. Only downsides this time were that I was welcomed by a bear! But we are in their home so I'm not mad at it. The thing that I'm not too happy about is the number of people who came into camp close to midnight. But it is what it is. Keep in mind you will not have any connection unless you go to one of the outlooks along the road.

Cherry Hill is the most sedate campground I have experienced. It's small, but ever so quiet. The only drawback is the proximity to a highway and speeding cars and trucks passing by. The camp hosts, Lester and his wife were just delightful. They have been hosts at Cherry Hill for 14 seasons and live not too far away during the off season. Only one restroom building subdivided into 4 separate rooms. Very dated, but they were always clean. Be prepared for the one piece stainless steal toilets! Plenty of hiking trails nearby and two accessible from the campground. 4 stars only due to the nearby highway. I would give it a 4.5.

Very peaceful, clean facilities. Look for the abandoned amphitheatre - there's no signage, but it might have been made by the CCC?

Very nice FS campground. Restrooms & showers were mostly clean but could use a little more TLC. Site 7 has been repaired and is not washed out as another reviewer stated however, I agree that it would be a tight fit for a camper trailer. This site is also very close to the restrooms.

The weather was perfect and Lester the host kept the place very clean from the bathrooms to the campsites. There is hiking, fishing, and a shooting range near by. Plenty of places to find or buy firewood. Highly recommend for the spring or fall.

Most of the campsites are well spaced with excellent privacy. Facilities are well maintained by the on-site camp host. Bath house facilities are first rate for a public campground. Very uncrowded during the week; a relaxing and peaceful place to camp and very convenient to the upper Chattooga River.

My favorite camp ground in the SC upstate. Semi-secluded, designed around a creek, A-1 bath house and close to trails and Chattooga River put-in locations. Will stay again.
