We love Whetstone campground. Although it is primitive, it is quiet and usually very well maintained. We got there on a Sunday afternoon and the manure bins had not been emptied yet from the weekend, but that has not been a problem in the past. There was one big tree down on the SC side. We did cross at Earl's Ford and ride the Georgia side along the river, which was horrible. I would not recommend anyone use the Georgia side trails. They were almost impassable.
