This was a single night trip for my friend’s birthday, there was a dead rotting deer right next to our campsite which made it extremely difficult to have an enjoyable time. We requested the removal of this animal several times with no response or acknowledgement. I would like to request a refund for this stay due to the fact that we had a terrible time because of the lack of maintenance to the grounds. We could smell this animal from the bathhouses hundreds of feet away. I am extremely disappointed.

Visited with 2 Families over the Memorial Day Weekend.
Made prior arrangements with the Ranger (Super Helpful and Understanding) about bringing our Golf Cart because of my disability.
Got to the gate and the Couple checked us in and were helpful but kinda made it seem like we were a burden because of the Golf Cart.
Going over some rules and such.
We got everything all worked out
This is not our first trip here and have 3 more scheduled before October but I will stay the park didn’t seem to get the attention it normally did, sites were full of Pine Needles and Cones and Brances and Twigs.
As Campers were checking out we noticed it took a while for the Volunteers to come by and clean the sites for the next group and in general we didn’t see a lot of activity from the volunteers or even the Janitorial company to clean the restroom
On the subject of Golf Carts.
Now that the SC State Laws and Rules are in effect, not sure why Carts are still not allowed in COE parks, seems like lost revenue and opportunity to me?
Again I am grateful for the understanding and permission granted for me to use mine.

As always, Coneross Campground was lovely. The lake was wonderful to hurl myself into, and the nights were peaceful. Went up to Clemson and the South Carolina Botanical Gardens one day - 10/10 do recommend.

Site 25 Coneross is basically a pull through site but no way with a 26' camper. You can back into the site but your hook-ups are in front of the camper.

Coneross is a very nice campground. Quiet, and sites are not too close together. Camp hosts were great. Location on Lake Hartwell is beautiful. Bathroom facilities are in OK condition, needs some upgrading. But the cleanliness was not good. Someone emptied the trash and restocked the toilet paper, but that was about it. Trash left on the shower floor for 3 days. Other than that, no complaints.

General
- One wheeled camping unit (RV, Camper, Camper van/truck, etc) per single site and must be parked on impact pad. Tents are restricted to impact pad.
- Off-road vehicles including golf carts, 4-wheelers, motorized or electric scooters/ride on devices are not permitted.
- Only registered vehicles are allowed in the campground. Up to 3 vehicles may be registered per site. All vehicles and boats trailers must be parked on gravel area of campsite or in designated parking spaces.
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Maximum stay is 14-days within 30 day period. Changing names on a reservation, changing campsites, or making multiple reservations in order to stay over 14-days is PROHIBITED! VIOLATORS MAY HAVE RESERVATIONS CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTICE. Please do the right thing.
- All pets must be penned, caged or on a leash no longer than 6 feet; pets are prohibited on swim beaches, playgrounds, and in restrooms. You MUST clean up after your pet!
- Fireworks and firearms are prohibited.
- Maximum of 10 campers per single site. Registered campers are required to occupy campsite and must be 18 years of age or older.
- Gray water (any wastewater from sinks, dishwashing, bathing, etc) or other waste water must be disposed of properly at campground dump station.
- For campfires, use only dead wood gathered from the ground and contain fire in designated fire rings or grills only. Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Don't movefirewood.org for further information.
- Keep your campsite and campground clean. Keep your trash contained and frequently remove trash from campsite (dumpsters located within campground). Do not leave litter in fire ring or on campsite upon check out.
- Inflatables including water slides, jumping houses, etc. and/or carnival type rides/events are not permitted.
