Love's RV Stop-Box Elder SD 602

We stayed one night at Box Elder,SD. There was only about 6 campers/RV’s in the park including us. Everyone was quiet & respectful of others. I liked that you had to have a code to enter the grounds & bathrooms/shower rooms. Traffic was kinda loud in the evening but, that’s a given being close to other businesses. The dog park area was nice & clean. We didn’t have any water hookups due to this time of year, but you can get water from the office if you wish. We were disappointed however in the shower house/bathrooms. They were not clean. There are only two showrooms/bathrooms private rooms & the one had a sign on the door that the lock is broken, the one private room with just a restroom wouldn’t even open. Leaving only one restroom/shower room to use & it wasn’t clean. (Pictures attached of area/bathroom/shower house)

Nice place to stop when don't have prearranged reservations. Price isn't crazy. Full hook-ups. Secure location.
Big rigs far enough we didn't hear them.
Will definitely be looking for future Love's RV stops in the future.

Was a great convenient stop on our trip out west from Wisconsin. Concrete slabs and pull through sites. Grassy areas for your dog. Really appreciated the easy hook up after a long day of driving. Totally recommend staying here. Worked great for us.

I do quite a lot of travel on the road in my van and have started using these new loves RV stops regularly for a quick, convenient and affordable full service option. This particular location was hands-down the nicest facility with the most amenities by a mile. They even offer private dog yard, private bathrooms and private showers separate from the main Love's building, WiFi and a security gate. I highly recommend this location.

While passing through South Dakota on my east from Oregon to the Netherlands, we stayed here for a quick overnight. And while the facilities are top notch (less than a year old) and the attendant was friendly and helpful, it was a bit spendy, even with a senior discount.
One other thing to note: there doesn't seem to be a "lights out" curfew. Why some people insist on leaving their rope lighting on in a campground where everyone is parked up next to each other is beyond me. Forget about as dark skies experience.
