The tent site is a forgotten place that is dramatically set off and separated from the other campsites. Next to the damn powerhouse not the best place for the tents but at least there were showers

Very nice campground. The camp host was very helpful and friendly. The fishing is very good in this area and there is a nice boat ramp and fish cleaning shack with running water! Campground and bathrooms were very clean.
Enjoyed our stay at Left Tailrace. My only negative comment would be that I really would have enjoyed a tour of the Big Bend Power Station. I called the number for booking a tour and left a message for them to get back with me. No one returned my call.

Left Tailrace in Fort Thompson is a great place for many reasons: level RV parking, electric hookups, showers, fresh water stations, dump station… just about everything an RV-er could want! The host, Howard, went out of his way and was so helpful! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Left Tailrace is a great campground. There are a lot of boats and fishermen but that doesn't bother us. It is very peaceful and calming. There are no trails so I just walked along the highway

Very spacious, bathrooms could use some updates and were not kept very clean.
Phone reception was not the best.

This Corps of Engineers campground is always awesome. The grounds, roads, and facilities are well maintained. Wherever you camp you're minutes from showers, kids park, or the boat ramp. If there were any wants it would be for "Full Hook-up" availability. The few on site are reserved for site Hosts.
