Great place for a meal or camping essentials. They also have a very competitive price on UTV rentals. The staff is super friendly and helpful with a family run vibe. Highly recommend!

This campground is perfect. It’s clean and well taken care of. The owner and staff clearly want to make their customers stay stress free and welcoming. The food is great. It’s served piping hot! We love to ride the OHV trails. There are 3 trailheads very close to camp. There’s fuel, food, supplies, and the nicest people that you’ll ever meet. We definitely love Custers Crossing and will be back next year. I just feel so At home there. Thank you, Michelle. Honestly, you are the most thoughtful and the hardest worker!!! Thank you again.

I really can’t give a better review! We visited during bike week and were a lil apprehensive of having young children with. Jenna, Stacey, Michelle , Jay and the owner (I forget his name) welcomed us with open arms and even helped us contain our wild children. The prices were awesome for everything from the food and supplies on the shelves, to the drinks and hot delicious food served in the diner part. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos!!! The location is great, and the vibe was chill. Quiet time was actually quiet. The showers were HOT, and clean. All in all I give it a 12 out of 10. We will definitely be coming back annually. Thank you for the hospitality and great service for the week plus we stayed at your establishment!!!

We stayed at Custer Crossing campground in late June last year. The campsite was easy to get in and out of. It was also level. The campground is pet friendly with many areas to walk your dogs. The C-store and restaurant are clean. We had breakfast. The food and service were great. The young couple who own this are very nice, hard-working, and compassionate people.

Really nice, clean campground. New owner. Food was good and sufficient at the small little restaurant/store. Basic supplies in the store. I suspect will be more complete as business picks up.
The sites are gravel and pretty close to level. We’ll have to see if that can be maintained over time.
There is a dump station. Water system has been upgraded. The potable water/dump station water spigots are the same. Just DO NOT USE THE SAME HOSE!! Rinse your hose out before using to bring fresh water. We were told that the plan is to eventually run water lines out to the sites.
The other thing the road noise can be excessive with the number of UTV’s and loud motorcycles. That being said, it’s probably one of the better campgrounds around to easily access the local parks. You don’t have the hassle of Deadwood. Driving into Rapid City or Mt. Rushmore is fairly easy as well. Note…. There is a 8% grade driving into Rapid City. Easy for us with a smaller, 27’ rig.
IF you plan on using Harvest Host and need/want power, the hookup is only $10/night.
There is a gas pump, however, at the price it shows, I’d consider it for emergencies only.
There’s a really good probability we’ll stop there again to visit the Black Hills and its surrounding areal.
