We stayed for last summer and loved the campground. Always clean facilities and wonderful on site store. Would recommend. Perfect location near Hot Springs SD as well. Also, there is a very nice beach just down the road and places to eat with a beautiful view of the lake. Trinas husband helped me and my co workers many times with fix it problems on our campers, and also ,if you get locked out, he's also the man! Will be back!

Labor Day weekend. 11AM Saturday. The business sign reports open during these hours however nobody is camping at this facility and nobody was in at the office. It was desolate and looks like perhaps been left unattended for s few weeks. A good location just off the highway but perhaps this is a one man operation and they are away. Not a hotel, very small camper parking sites.

Sandy Bottom Campground

A wonderful little campground. A quite full service facility providing Full Hookups with 30/50 amp electric,  water and sewer. Their camp store stocks basic staples including milk, bread, chips,  beer and sodas along with many camping and boating equipment items. This is a great place to base out of for your Black Hills vacation.  An easy drive to all the great activities in the Black Hills.   Custer State Park,  Wind Caves National Park,  Angostura State Recreation Area, Hot Springs,  Jewel Cave National Monument, Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Needles Highway, Badlands National Park, Deadwood,  Sturgis,  Rapid City, and so much more,  all within about an hour or so drive.

Camp hosts are super nice and helpful. Sites are long enough to fit your rig and tow vehicle. All the hook-ups worked just fine. Good phone service. You're not too far from Mount Rushmore and Badlands. Black Hills are close by and there's a few swimming holes close by. Hot Springs is a cute little town with gorgeous buildings. There's a spring located in town. We always look for springs when we are traveling. So this was a nice surprise. Camp store is decently stocked. No bathrooms or laundry. I think they're working on the bathrooms. We had a nice stay here. Quiet area and nice sunsets.

I have stayed at many campgrounds in the black hills, and this one by far is my absolute favorite! The owners are so kind and helped me with everything and had everything I needed in the campground store, including: firewood, ice, candy, and other snacks! This is the perfect campground for kids and families. The campground is also kept very clean and tidy by the owners. The full hookup sites are a must for me, and they even have fast great wifi that reached my camper! I would absolutely recommend staying here, and I have nothing to complain about!
