Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

Great location in the park! Very close to the bathroom with cheap coin showers available. It’s close to the amphitheater where they hold evening ranger programs which was super interesting. Shade over the picnic table was super helpful in July.

The biggest disappointment was seeing all the sites reserved, and so many people not showing up for the night, therefore denying others of the opportunity to stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Pass Campground. Our site was comfortable, the grounds were clean and very well kept, and the RV dump station was easy to use. The campground doesn’t have shade and is pretty bare, but it’s perfect if you plan to park your RV/trailer/tent and spend your days exploring the park. It’s also super close to the visitor center, and the on‑site store is super close by and great if you forget anything. Overall, a convenient and well‑kept base camp.

The campground was a bit austere and when it was full the facilities were overwhelmed, loved the evening Ranger presentations and thought the host was great, TY.

All the sites are pretty close together, essentially in a grass field. There are no trees for shade but all the picnic tables have a little cover over them for shade. There are showers available though I didn’t use them. Bathroom was clean and in the middle of the campground so easy for every site to access.
