Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

Having electricity at that price was wonderful! It was very warm in July and AC was nice. The pay showers are good but you definitely need 10 minutes! The view was exquisite!

The campground is clean and well managed. The person at the gate (Campground host/volunteer) was very helpful and very kind. She recommended the park ranger talk in the evening. The information presented during that evening session by the park ranger was great and entertaining. Despite the overcast weather and no stars visible, we had a great time and will be back!

The sites were spacious and clean, as were the facilities. This is a prime campsite to return to for home base at the end of busy days exploring the park. The picnic tables each had a shade structure hovering overhead, providing some much-needed shade during the heat of the summer days.

It was so beautiful! It is a busy campsite. We tent camped and it was in the 100s during the day but cool enough to see at night. Totally worth it.

We really appreciated the ranger’s advice to hike early morning before it got too hot and then drive to see the park in the best of the day. The astronomy talk at 9 in the amphitheater was excellent!

Close to the bathrooms and showers, nice amount of land to set up! Not a ton of privacy but wasn’t a problem. Night skies were beautiful!

Super convenient to the visitor center and trails. Easy walk to the amphitheater for the evening programs. Quite a few RVs in the campground, but they were respectful and quiet for us tent campers. It was really windy so make sure you have tie downs for your tent.
