Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

We were fortunate enough to get a spot in the park at Cedar Pass Campground as our dispersed campsite was extremely muddy. The campground was full, but lots of amenities including great sunrise views, bathrooms, coin showers, and an outdoor sink area (for washing dishes). The campground is also close to the Visitor's Center. Campsites are pull-up parking spots with covered picnic table. Drawbacks were overflowing trash bins, unavailable camp host, and limited recycling.

Weather was fabulous. The view amazing. I really liked this site. It was close to the bathroom but not too close:). Bathrooms were clean. They had an area for people to wash dishes. They had showers which I did not need. I did not have electric but I was prepared for that. I wish rec.gov had a more user friendly site!

It was very nice, the showers are a bit rough but really all I could expect for camping!

The beauty of the Badlands make it worth it, but the shower house is prison like. Bathrooms were clean.

We had a great time at the Cedar Pass Campground. The staff was very friendly and the campground in fine shape. We were on the outside of Agate Loop in site 19. We recommend that site if you are looking for a quiet/private evening. The welcome center was well staffed and full of interesting artifacts. We will return!

It was great to spend a couple nights in the badlands. The sites are really just pull offs from the road but functional. Since the roads are one way, half the sites have your door open to the road and you can't extend your awning.
