Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

Awesome location for camping with the Badlands formation right there. And at night the stars really come out - we were able to see the Milky Way so clearly! The shades / wind protection for the picnic tables are a nice touch at each site.

Wonderful view of the Badlands. We camped here for the scenery and the campsite was just as expected. The employees and campground host we talked with were extremely friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved staying at Cedar Pass campground. Being able to camp actually inside Badlands NP was truly special. The 360 degree view of the beautiful rock formations was spectacular. The proximity of the campground to the visitor center and store is an easy bike ride. We will be back!!!!

The campground sites are all pull-offs from the main loop road, so no complex backing up needed. It is a bit hard to determine how much space is "yours", as many pullouts are designed to accommodate two sites, so I just pulled as far forward as I could to ensure that folks behind would have adequate room when they arrived. There are no trees, so everyone is in view of each other. The good news is, there is a great view of the Badland rock features to the West / Northwest. I was in site 79, and had a clear view. Look at the map when picking your site, and try to get a spot as you enter the two loops for the least obstructed views. In spite of the sites being paved as part of the road, the natural cantor of the road had everyone using 1-2 inches of leveling on one side.
I biked the park road from the campground to the Pinnacles OL and back, and everyone was very respectful considering the limited shoulder. The Castle Trail hike is a great single track hike amongst the features and a good way to get away from the crowds that tend to congregate at the various viewpoints. Plan for wind, and be happy if there isn't any.
There is a RV Dump / Fill station, but the hoses are cut so you can't secure them to your outlets on your rig, so unable to use the blank tank flush, and couldn't attach a filter to the potable water hose.

Nice quiet campground, some of the campers don’t know camp etiquette and just walk freely through others camp sites. Unfortunately see it more and more nowadays. Host was awesome and got us to our site right away and we had a great time!

Lovely campground. Very easy to navigate and gorgeous views. Everyone was really respectful. Bathrooms were clean enough, picnic tables at each spot was also a nice touch. Definitely felt like you got your money’s worth for the views and facilities offered
