Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

Excellent location..two minute drive to Cedar Pass Lodge restaurant and the Ben Reifel Visitor's Center...7 mins drive to Window/Door/Notch trails..20 mins to many other scenic overlooks. Campsite was clean with very scenic views. Just a five minute walk up the road to the amphitheater where we heard an excellent evening presentation from two Rangers (one who spoke on Badlands wildlife and one who showed us star constellations). Would highly recommend.

It was a little weird parking on the road, but it all worked out. Great park, lots of hiking, and sightseeing. We were lucky to have cooler weather while we were there.

Quiet, Convenient, and Great Cell Service
We had a nice stay at Agate Loop Campground. Parking the RV was easy, and we went inside the store to get a map of the campground. They only had the one map available to look at, so having extra copies for campers would have been helpful when trying to find our site.
Our site was a side pull-off with enough space for our setup, and we were able to stay hooked up to our travel trailer during our stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
The bathrooms were clean, although showers are an additional charge. The campground itself was quiet, which made for a peaceful stay.
The site had 50-amp electric service, but there was no water or sewer hookup, so be prepared for a more basic camping setup.
The Wi-Fi was nonexistent, but fortunately the cell service was strong. I was still able to get some work done from the site using my cell connection.
The dumpster near the building was convenient for trash disposal.
Overall, Agate Loop Campground was a quiet and simple place to stay with easy RV parking, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and reliable cell service. Just be aware that sites only have 50-amp electric with no water or sewer, and Wi-Fi isn't available.

Great campground with an amazing view of the Badlands! The site was quite exposed, so it can probably get very windy, but the views were absolutely worth it. We also really enjoyed the amenities. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy the scenery.

Excellent attendants, the ranger talks were awesome, and the sites were great. We were tent camping and winds got up to 60 mph so make sure you tie your tent down well!

Great location, close to the visitor center, next to the amphitheater for night programs. The young woman at the gate, (she is in an RV on site 9), was super friendly and helpful, the bathroom, shower were clean and great.

This was a nice location with minimal campers due to our stay at a group site. The nightly presentation put on by the rangers was a good addition to the stay. Clean and the park rangers were very responsive.
