Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

Nice site, easy walk to the restroom and the showers were not far away. Not much privacy but the whole campground appeared to be the same type of sites. Showers were good. Easy access to the rest of the park and the lodge for dinner.

The Badlands was a magical place to spend the night! I will say, we only camped for one evening on our way to Glacier...it might have been uncomfortably hot if we stayed for multiple days and our tent was cooking in the sun all day. The bathrooms, shower option, and store made for great amenities and the view was wonderful.

Very good campsite. Sun shelters for picnic tables are essential in the badlands. Restrooms were clean and the dishwashing station is really nice. When we checked in, the previous campers still had their tent on our site. It was very difficult to get in touch with ANYONE that could tell us how to proceed. Our other National Park stays were much better staffed with Rangers at the campsites.

I braced myself for the worst given so many negative reviews. But what we found was magical. We spent one night at Cedar Pass in a wind and electrical storm! It was a challenge getting the tent up and the ground was so hard and dry. It was unbelievably hot at 4pm when we arrived. By 6pm it was cooling down and we were able to cook and eat, despite the wind (which increased in the night). The bathrooms were clean. There were working showers and they were clean! There is also a large washing up area for dishes. A dramatic tent night with the wind led to a glorious and cool early morning. Waking up to that view while enjoying our morning tea will always stay with us.

Beautiful spot and kind of far away from others. The two tables were great. No complains.

Good location, and the covered picnic tables are great! There are no trees and it’s difficult to tell what space is yours and what is your neighbors. The bathroom fan is loud at night
