Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

A very different type of campground that we are accustomed to. All sites are basically parallel parking; some site may have you exiting onto the road while others will put you on the curbside. An extension may be needed for electric depending on your unit. Significant storms may pop up with little warning and shelter is recommended. It's not called the Badlands without reason! Overall, it's a great place to stay in the area, but I would think a night or two is sufficient. The lodge is convenient and offers a few lunch/dinner items as well as ice cream. There is a small gift shop with nice items.

Great location. Grounds are well maintained. Restroom facilities very clean. Close to Visitors Center, Wildlife Loop and Iron Mountain Road. Gift shop has great selection with descent prices.

This is our 4th year in a row coming to Cedar Ridge camp site. The only thing was we had camp site 2 and there isn't a off road driveway to park our vehicle. Did not like having to park on the road infront of our site.

The view and campground are beautiful. The group loop site 3 is mostly mud when it rains so I wouldn’t recommend that site.

Our site was on the side of the loop... no back in or pull through, just on the side of the road (most of them were like this). It was a one way so our camper steps faced into the road. The bathrooms were horrible, urinals overflowing and filthy. You have to pay to take a shower. We left a day early and will not be staying there again!

The views from the campground are amazing. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and wandering wildlife. Proximity to the amphitheater and store is nice. Also nice to have flush toilets and running water. Minus a star and half for the awful shower experience. Coin operated, no temp control so it was just hot hot hot on top of a hot day and not refreshing at all. Water stopped before my time should have been up. Flimsy curtain blew open and even when shut I was walked in on. Definitely disappointing for $38 a night to then have to pay $0.50 for 4 min of water. Other half star because of the RV generators drowning out the peace and nature. Still had an amazing time and love the covered picnic table.
