The campground was very good and the bathrooms were clean. There are not trees for shade, but there is a covered picnic table for each site which provide sufficient shade. The Loop drive was awesome and the visitor center is super informative and well done too. The nightly ranger programs were a real highlight. Each night one ranger gave a presentation on an an interesting topic and afterwards another ranger gave an awesome talk about the stars.

Overall, this campground is a very nice experience. You get to see the sunrise over the hills, and a bit of the sunset over the Badlands. In terms of the campsite, you get a table and cover, but no fire pit (fire ban). There are a few bathhouses scattered throughout, creating ease of access and a centrally located shower house (quarters only). The facilities were well maintained and nice and warm water out of the shower. The campground was mostly quite (there are a lot of spots which means a lot of people which always mean more noise), it was well maintained and had a nice host running the place.

The views from the campground are fantastic. The spots are pretty close together but the location is worth it. Book EARLY if you want one of the electric spots. It was 98F while we were there and without AC it was toasty. The evenings cooled off nicely. Lots of hikes in the park, or drive the park loop. We saw Bison, big horn sheep, and Antelope. Plan ahead for supplies, Interior is a small town. There is a restaurant at the Lodge next door.

We were at CPCG on a very hot day. We were thankful for the electric hookup. Site was clean and really big. Had an excellent view of the prairie land and the Badlands. We were at Site 20.

This campground was lovely! Nice, easily accessible bathrooms, potable water and dishwashing sink. The rangers' evening program at the amphitheater was awesome, and the stars were incredible! I will warn that it is difficult to stake in a tent here (and no large rocks around to help) and the winds are no joke at night - even if it doesn't look bad on the forecast, it feels more intense than you'd think. I'd definitely recommend it but plan accordingly!

We camped here three nights and loved it! We attended the evening ranger program at the amphitheater and it was great. The night skies at this campground are terrific! We saw the Milly Way right from our campsite.

The campground was excellent. The only thing that there wasn't towels with your hands after you washed them in the bathroom for a hand blower to dry them. Parts of view was great. The Buffalo are great. The host is great.
