Lamphere Ranch Campground

I would never stay here again. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. The toilets in the men’s room are constantly covered is feces. It was so bad that I went out and purchased a 5 gallon bucket and some trash bags to poop in it. The ports-potties at the gas station down the road and in downtown Sturgis we’re even cleaner. Also, the showers are always cold. There’s never any hot water.

But my biggest complaint is that when I checked in.. I told them I wasn’t sure if we were leaving on Wednesday or Thursday. I was told I could either book till Wednesday and add an additional night if needed.. or book till Thursday and they’d refund me if I checked out a day early (this is what we ended up doing). When I checked out a day early.. they refused to give the refund.

This place is a dump and I would never stay here again.

Absolute perfect experience at the Lamphere campground. Stay there for the 80th rally 38-ft fifth wheel toy hauler easily navigated their campground roads and more than ample large pull through camping sites. First night we got there a day early they accommodated us in a self-contained area that we stayed in that was close to our site we used the bath houses the first night they were clean and the showers had excellent water pressure. Camping sites are flat and level and they have some trees for shade. Overall great experience at this campground perfect location and quiet at night time close to Full throttle, Buffalo Chip and Steel pony. They have a small little convenience Mart in the registration building for the last minute essentials and they also had a small restaurant takeout style with outdoor picnic seating under an open wall pavilion.

Our 1st time here... wow what a great place to stay! The staff is super! I met Ross the owner... great guy, will do anything for you! The entire Ranch is very well kept and clean. We had a blast during our 3 day stay and can't wait to come back!

First trip to the rally and stayed here to join friends. Spent two nights and was beyond impressed. I had reservations for Wednesday night but arrived Tuesday and it was easy to tack on the one night. $30 a night during the rally seems very fair. The park was extremely clean and easy to get around. Bathrooms and showers were clean and had plenty of hot water. General store was convenient and prices weren't TOO crazy. Definitely will stay again in the future!!

Stayed here during the rally. Great place to stay. It was close to town but yet quiet at night. You could here the music from the surrounding campgrounds but quiet enough to get some sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store had anything you could need or forgot. They served breakfast and dinners for a reasonable price. The showers were always clean and had hot water. For $23 a night what more could you ask for?
