The fire pot to the north was right under our bedroom window. Not desirable. If the big tree to the back of that site is removed, the fire pot should be moved back further.

Cottonwood Campground is consistently praised for its beautiful scenery, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere. Recent upgrades, such as concrete pads and improved facilities, have enhanced the camping experience, along with the quiet surroundings and ample shade. While some visitors noted minor concerns like the lack of full hookups and the need for trimming trees, overall, campers enjoyed their stays and appreciated the well-kept amenities and peaceful environment.

Very nice campground. All facilities worked just fine. COVID19 precautions were appropriate and appreciated. Very pleasant stay for us for 3 nights.

Nice quiet well kept campground. Enjoy staying at the Corp of Eng. campgrounds. I'm sure we will visit Yankton again soon.
