This was our first stay at Lillydale Campground. We had a lot right on the lake, #65. There was plenty of room for both our travel trailer (29 ft) and tow vehicle. We enjoyed being right on the lake! The lot was not paved, but gravel and very level. It was very quiet and peaceful there. We were there in early May, 2024.
Our only complaint, was the bathroom at the top of the hill (nearest to our lot), needed updating badly!! The doors to the 3 bathroom stalls, had no locks. The showers, were just vinyl curtains. The hand driers did not work at all!! It was very dark and spooky in there, when you first entered. Maybe some latches on the doors would be a quick fix! Otherwise, the bathroom that we checked out by the boat
launch is the one to use. It had actual doors on the showers.
Other than that, we would recommend it based on the ample space in the lots and location. With that said, there were not grocery stores nearby, so come prepared! We checked that out before we got there. Also, we ate breakfast at "The Fork" one morning for breakfast. It was at the fork in the road about a mile and half from the campground. It was excellent and the owners were so friendly there! It's a must. They are only open for breakfast and lunches, so limited hours.

Lilydale is my husband’s favorite campground in Tennessee. Great views. Always a breeze off the water. Just wish there was a restaurant nearby.

Narrow & switchback road with significant downhill grade to get to the campground but easily navigated if you take your time. Site #40 was a challenge to back into with my 25 foot Travel Trailer as the site was almost 90 degrees to the road and required several attempts to get in. But otherwise nice fairly level site. Bath house at top of the campground was older and the hand dryers did not work nor was there any soap available to wash hands. GROSS! But the Bath house by the boat ramp was much nicer & cleaned daily with hand soap & working dryers. Loved the shady area with plenty of green space for walking the dogs. Also easy access to water for kayaks & boats of all kinds. Water was so clean but too cold for a dip in April. We'll definitely be back.
