The staff and location were great. The landscape was very neglected.

Bath house condition is pathetic. We have camped here for years. The bath house that serves the west loop of the campground needs major work. (This applies to the men's side; I can't attest to the condition of the women's side.) One of the two urinals has been removed. There are three shower stalls. In the past, all three had wooden benches which were convenient for placing items and clothes while showering. Two of the three are now gone. Also, the hooks in each shower vestibule are broken off, and coupled with the missing benches, means that I had to place my items on top of the cinder block wall. A shorter person would not have that option. Finally, the mini-split unit mounted above the sink counter is not draining properly, causing a pool of water to collect on the counter. Yuck! Corp of Engineers needs to address this place!

I was very disappointed this time. The grass had not been mowed and it was waist high. We have been going there for well over 10 years and I had never saw the grass that high. There are people who have to walk in the grass and the kids are all the time playing in it. I'm sure that there were ticks and snakes and whatever in it. To me it was very dangerous. I have suggested several times that speed bumps should be put over by the playground. Vehicles fly thru there and I have saw kids almost ran over. The main host are very nice and polite, but I cannot say that for the fill ins. They were very hateful to some, while others got away with parking their kyake trailers in the grass below their campsite, which is definetely not alllowed.

Nice sites. The shower houses could use some updating and new fixtures. T Mobile had good service. Would go back there again.

The campsite itself is nice. Bathrooms/showers are clean. As someone that reads the fine print they seemed very accommodating and welcoming. I rented 3 campsites close together to accommodate my whole family for friday thru sunday. One group at one site decided to stay an extra day leaving Monday. Checkout is at 2pm but they also have day passes for $5 and they allow visitors to the campers for an additional charge. On the reservation itself it states that if you would like to stay a little longer to enjoy the lake they can tell you where to move your things. We had rented a jet ski and a boat until 430, so at noon we came back, packed up everything at 2 of the sites and moved our vehicles to the main parking lot with plenty of open room. We left the campsites 2 hours early to make sure we did not overstay our reservation. They came to look them over right away. We went back out on the lake to enjoy the rest of the time on our rentals. At EXACTLY 2pm I received a very angry phone call from a man at Lilydale stating that we MUST return IMMEDIATELY!! Check out is promptly at 2pm and we need to get our vehicles off of their property right now. I explained the situation to which he replied No Ma'am. Return IMMEDIATELY. So we did, in so causing us to completely change all of our plans and resulted in us returning the boat an hour late. We have been primitive camping at this lake for 30 years. This was our first year camping at a campground in our rv. It made me not want to do it again. That was absolutely ridiculous given it is all in writing on the website and I will be looking for other options going forward. We did our best to adhere to the rules however they choose when they feel like following them.

My husband has been going to Lillydale for over 40 years. It is very convenient to Willow Grove. The only thing, I have breathing problems and I wish other people would consider NOT burning firewood when it is 90 plus degrees outside.
