Great trip overall. The host was very nice. The lake is a great place to cool off on a hot day. Nice campground with great hiking trails and a pretty waterfall.

Chilhowee Campground is praised for its cleanliness, with exceptionally maintained bathrooms and spacious campsites that offer privacy and beautiful mountain views. The campground hosts are described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While there are some minor complaints regarding noise and site management, overall, visitors find it a peaceful and enjoyable place for camping and outdoor activities, particularly hiking to Benton Falls.

Love camping here. Go every year for a family vacation. Have two of the nicest people running this place. Great place to camp. And the kids love to swim and fish.

Camp sites are well kept & spacious. Great proximity to hiking trails, the lake, & nearby activities! Bathrooms were not great, but pretty standard for campground restrooms. Camp hosts were excellent with updating & cautioning regarding snakes/other wildlife in the area.

Campsites are wonderfully maintained and roomy. Fantastic trail system in the area for hiking. Restroom showers could use a little upgrade. Only one in the bathhouse by us. Overall loved the area and campground. Fantastic price per night! Be careful getting there. Pay attention to the route the campground tells you to take. GPS may take you up an unpaved dangerous road!

Campsite was wonderful. Lovely trails around the little lake/pond and easy access to the Ocoee River for awesome rafting. Showers were clean and efficient. Even one of the rainy days was great because as the storm approached from the west we were able to look DOWN on the approaching storm from one of the observation pullouts on the access road just outside the Park entrance. Only complaint was we couldn't find anyone selling firewood on top of the mountain. Might be nice to have one of the hosts take care of that.

We love Chilhowee Campground. I've been bringing my son camping here for years and 2 years ago started bringing a group of friends. it's definitely the favorite for all of us with so much for the kids to do between hiking, exploring, fishing and swimming. love the beauty and the spaciousness of the tent camping sites on Loop A.
