This was our first time camping here - when we arrived on Friday, 4/5/24, we saw a Burn Notice (for the next two days) on the door of the bathhouse. Not knowing the area, we did not recognize where exactly the burn would be happening. No map was provided. The next day, 4/6, the campground began filling with smoke - and with helicopters overhead, and the smoke becoming thicker and thicker, everyone began packing up and leaving. There was no way to stay - one of our party has lung issues, and by the time we left, my eyes were burning. Needless to say, our trip was cut short.
I checked back to the email that arrived 2 days before the trip - and there was no mention of the burn. Recreation.gov needs to be more proactive in letting people know if hazardous conditions might develop. We would have been happy to find another campground had we been given notice.
Very poor communications.

Had intense storms blow through one night and although power was out for a day the staff had the place cleaned up before noon. Great place to get away and unwind for a week. Will be back.

Beautiful small campground with excellent hosts and friendly rangers. Very clean bathrooms, hot showers, sites are raked after every visitor and fire pits cleaned. 16 miles from Cleveland shopping and close to several small diners, white water rafting. This is a great place to enjoy kayaking and fishing,

Our first time at this really nice small out of the way camp ground. Nice private well spaced sites and spotlessly clean everywhere. Really nice hosts totally engaged in their roles. We'll come back.

Even though we had a lot of rain we had an excellent time. Kids loved playing in the creek. The camp hosts were very helpful and accommodating! We love this campground.

Cannot beat a creekside site at this campground! So peaceful and quiet. My only complaint is the online description of the sites states there is water hook ups but there is ONLY electricity hook ups with NO water. A correction to details online would be great!
