Everything great: Host, volunteer, cleaners. grounds.
Choosing a negative would be, golf carts, ATV’s, electric scooters and bikes.

There was a lot of confusion at check in the new rule to show your discount card at the gate was not clear and I was charged for the difference in cost until I could prove I used my discount card. I made the reservation several months ago and there was nothing that said this card must be presented at check in. I was not sent a card just a QR code on the initial reservation. This whole process was not handled well at all.

Been Twice, always a good experience. Warning: if your GPS directs you to turn right on Main Street (hwy 263) at Carthage, do not take it. Continue straight on Carthage Bypass. 263 is a mountain 2 lane road with many blind cut backs.

Zero cell phone service (I have Verizon), and the Wi-Fi was horrible. It was so weak and would not let you join. If I did get to join, it usually kicked me out after 10 minutes, Had a hard time finding a spot, and then I learned that around 5 spots have campers on them full-time because they work for the park. However, they were never in their camper. It was empty the entire time I stayed. That is very unfair because those people obviously do not work for the park.

This is a bougie campground.
We had so much fun. We was in 94. The best site I think especially if you got kids it’s right above the swimming pool area. You are allowed to put your tent anywhere even off your site. It cost us $36 but we only stayed one night. I’m going back again this weekend. If you’re a late arrival or want to leave and no one is at check in, there is a number on back of parking pass to get in or in your email somewhere. I didn’t find that but a nice lady told me to look on back of my parking pass to enter the code.

As always, this campground is exceptional in nearly every way. The grounds and buildings are well kept and the staff is friendly and helpful. I do wish the wifi was better since cell service is very intermittent. Highly recommend!
