Defeated Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, appreciated for its stunning views, friendly hosts, and ample outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, and water sports. Many visitors enjoyed their stay, highlighting the spacious, shaded sites and the park's family-friendly atmosphere. We love Defeated Creek campground! The views and the water access are our favorite. The marina restaurant is usually top notch but this time fell short -out of several items/drinks and vibe was different

Check-in was quick and pleasant and the view was magnificent. My reason for only 3 stars was the campsite was not clean upon arrival. We arrived shortly after 3:00 pm. There were coals in the grill, trash in the fire pit. Very disappointing for a COE facility. This isn’t the first time, unfortunately. I’ve been told COE has cut back on the contracted cleaning company’s services.

Very hot, which wasn’t the campgrounds fault- just Mother Nature. When we arrived the gate attendant asked us for our Access pass, which my wife has due to a disability. I went in first in the RV and then my wife came in behind me in a truck towing a boat. I thought she had her card but it was actually in the RV with me and so the attendant gave her a hard time about not having her card. We could not have booked the reservation without it and were not trying to take advantage of the situation. I’m sure the attendant meant well but it is frustrating to be questioned on this.

This is the most beautiful campground I’ve been to. That it had a park with a walking trail, a beautiful view of the water at a lot of the sites and wildlife, deer, squirrels, etc everywhere made that much better. I definitely want to go back!!
