What Guests Are Saying
Cages Bend Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location on Old Hickory Lake, well-maintained sites, and friendly, helpful hosts, Tanya and Donnie. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, spacious sites, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. While some noted the lack of sewer hookups and rocky shorelines for boating, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The campground was clean and the sites offered a lot of space. Being so close to the beautiful lake was great.

We were so excited about our stay at Cages Bend. We had never been able to get a spot there and by watching closely, we finally got a spot on the water. Spot #15. The site gave requirements as far as camper size, which we met. However, when we got there, our camper fit in the drive fine but because of all the trees that are so close to the drive, we had to choose to open our slides or our awning. Of course, we chose our slides over our awning. Our 4-year-old grandson experienced his first camping/fishing trip. Because the shoreline was so covered with debris, each time he pulled in his line, we had to untangle it from high grass, or rocks, or washed up debris. The setup of this park seems extremely nice, but there does need to be some trees removed and the shoreline cleaned up. We were not the only people fishing experiencing some difficulties.

Would have been nice, except this was the two days that mayflies appeared. They absolutely covered our white RV. Could sit outside, and left a day early.

This location was great to visit nearby family. The views of the water were a huge plus. Avery peaceful location. The Administrator was helpful and kept a tight ship. If we had to rate one thing, the bathrooms need updating but one of the best sites we have visited.
