What Guests Are Saying
Cages Bend Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location on Old Hickory Lake, well-maintained sites, and friendly, helpful hosts, Tanya and Donnie. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, spacious sites, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. While some noted the lack of sewer hookups and rocky shorelines for boating, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The campground was a surprise! Didn't really expect it to be surrounded by neighborhoods. However, that was not problem. It actually added to the enjoyment of watching boaters on the river. The camp host was friendly and readily available while we were there. If you forgot or wanted something, stores and restaurants were nearby. The campground was quiet, except for being in the flight path of the Nashville airport. Got to be a little annoying at times. The bath house is old, but was clean and well stocked with hand soap and toilet tissue. No problems getting into our site, but then, we don't have a 30+ foot trailer or motorhome. My main disappointment in the campground is the alignment of the campsites, especially those that sit directly on the river. Most sites face the street (when coming out of the trailer/motorhome) instead of the river. This is probably due to the fact this campground was in place before rving became a thing. Our site was almost perfectly level and most sites appeared to be so, at least side to side. Our picnic table was a bit of a hike, some 15 yards from the pad, but was unique in it was round and could have seated up to 12 people! Also a little disappointed there were no hiking trails, but we found some within a few miles. If one had a boat, or access to one, then the campground would have been a homerun! Nice boat ramp and boaters could tie up at some of the riverside sites.
