What Guests Are Saying
Cages Bend Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location on Old Hickory Lake, well-maintained sites, and friendly, helpful hosts, Tanya and Donnie. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, spacious sites, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. While some noted the lack of sewer hookups and rocky shorelines for boating, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We loved the views of the lake and the terraced sites. The interior roads were somewhat tight and tree limbs low. We arrived on a Tuesday when the camp host is off so there wasn’t a tag left for us at the gate but not a problem but no cleanup of the site between uses. The bathhouse is at the top of the hill and was fairly clean but could use updating. The site had a large patio area including table and fire pit.

spot 27: listed to accommodate 38 ft 5th wheel rv - NOT so! trees to the right, deep deep potholes on the left that will swallow a complete front wheel. requires several jack-knife maneuvers to back 38 ft rv. doing so with trees on the right caused rv to scrape the right side of rv against trees causing considerable damage. after several small jack-knife maneuvers finally made it onto pad. you must cut down the trees on the right, as well as fill the potholes on the left because narrow roadway will not allow a complete simple backing onto pad.
