What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend. We wish we stayed longer. Firstly, the camp ground host was very helpful and welcoming. Soon after we arrived he came over and greeted us with information. He even kindly gave us some firewood him and his kids had split. It was very appreciated.
Secondly, the campground is clean and quiet. Not to mention absolutely beautiful. There is a stunning fresh water creek that runs next to the campground. We stayed at campsite 23 loop C. The post to our campground had a tag attached which indicated our name & booking reference. This was very helpful. The site was large with a picnic table and fire ring. It was private and clean. On this particular site we had to reverse our RV up a slight incline, so just be mindful of that if you are low at the rear end as you could scrape the concrete. There are other sites with no incline. The campground includes large bins to dispose of your trash, waste disposal site and clean water. Very easy to access as well.
Lastly, we did the 2 mile hike to the water fall. I would say half the track is quite flat and the next half becomes rather steep. The path is quite rocky so good shoes are necessary. There are 4 creeks to cross which aren’t difficult to rock hop.
Great spot, great scenery and great host. Thanks for having us!
