Ive camped here for 46 years and watched this place consistently go down hill. More so now than ever. The camp ground isn't kept up very well by the grounds keeper but he's quick to call you out for not having your dog leashed, the one time she wasn't. I remember camping here for free back in the 80s and 90s. There was no camp host and the campground was well kept up by us campers mostly. I will always come back to my Dad's favorite place and where his soul lies in the peace n harmony of the mountains he loved. Just wish they'd take better care of it.

Somewhat older campground but small and cozy enough. Be prepared for the narrow winding mountain road to get to the campground.

When I first arrived I thought i'd hate the place. It's small, the drive up to it is a pain, and there were a lot of loud obnoxious people in the adjoining day use area. But over my stay the noise of day use was replaced by something you don't see often, which was almost 100% TENT campers, instead of the RV crowd. Happy people everywhere doing however they do their camps. That's kind of unique these days. Ultimately the only drawback was that there's a very small bathroom, with one side for a single male and the other for a single female. As the place grew really packed bathroom access became almost competitive. Worse, the last morning I was there the water went out across the whole place, both bathroom and water spigot alike. Fortunately I packed up camp and got out of there so I didn't have to deal with what likely became a sanitation nightmare. I'll pack a shovel next time just in case... BUT plumbing aside, the place has charm, and you really don't see that kind of tent camper density at most places.

We loved our time at Dennis Cove! Our campsite was well maintained and ideally located just above the creek, the bathrooms were clean, and the other campers around us were courteous and quiet. We will definitely return to camp there again!
