Loved the quieter, less crowded, and more remote experience that Denis Cove offered. The host came by and said hello. We loved the access to potable water, the level and dry pea gravel tent site, and the AT. Denis Cove Falls and the AT (for which we were mainly there) trailheads were a mere 100 yards away. We saw folks wading and cooling off in the roaring (thanks to all the rain earlier in the week) Laurel Fork. Store for essentials was .5 miles away. It was perfect!

Great trails around, river access behind campsites. Lacks any seclusion from other campers, and some were chopping wood at 7am. Otherwise a nice environment.

I so badly wanted to love this campground. I did love that it's essentially for tents only and very small. However there are only a couple camp sites that are not on the road and the bathroom situation isn't the best (but not the worse either). The river that runs through the campground is very pretty and there is nice hiking nearby. Never saw or met the campground host.

Great to be able to reserve a site. Sites were level. Bathrooms were clean. Camp host very friendly. Small campground and everyone was quiet.
Affordable prices. Great place to camp if you're ok with no hook-ups. The breakfast at Black Bear Resort is great!
