Rock Creek park is our home park for camping. We just love it! Only thing I would change is the reservation time frame.I think placing reservations up to 6 months in the future is too much.I think that 30 days in the future for a reservation would be better just because it hard to plan any dates to camp beyond that timeline. If not 30 days maybe 60 or 90.Really hope management will consider this and I think that the majority of campers that camp here would agree.Like to see a poll on this just to see how many campers would appreciate this change, hope it will happen!

This is one of my favorite places to camp however the camp host does not make campers adhere to the rules. We had to struggle to get in and out of our campsite as the site in front of us had as many as 6 vehicles at one time parked down the road in front of other sites. The bathrooms need to be updated and repaired and there is a very strong stinch if you camp near the dump station.

I'm glad I filled my camper water tanks at home because the park had a water pump failure and nobody had water for a week. Other than that we had a good time,we just had to make the best of it and really stretch our onboard water.

Excellent campground, sites are generally large, level, and well spaced. All sites are back-in. Larger rigs may have difficulty backing into some sites due to trees or signs that impede maneuvering. Most sites are shady, since the campground is basically in the forest. The nearby town of Erwin has supermarkets and other stores for needed supplies. There are no water connections at individual sites, so be prepared to fill your fresh water tanks upon arrival.
