What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

Quiet and beautiful setting. The site was mostly level. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Water available at numerous spigots on the loop. Plenty of exploring, and fantastic trails for hiking. Camp host knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Short drive into town for groceries and local restaurant flavor. Will definitely be coming back!!

We love Rock Creek and have come before and stayed in a different site. However, I need to put a warning out for all of you longer trailer owners… our site, C28, despite having 50 amp service, was almost impossible to get in to for us. We had to come from the wrong direction and pull into the site across from us (thankfully empty) in order to get into it. There are trees that make the turn impossible from the correct direction and the angle of the driveway is difficult. There are plenty of other sites that work great for us big rigs - just not this one. The site also needed some grading. This is why having to make a reservation blind makes me uncomfortable.
Other than that, the campground is excellent. We didn’t use the bathhouse so I can’t comment on it. The campground was almost completely full but as always quiet and relaxing.
