Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its clean and peaceful environment, spacious campsites, and friendly hosts. Families enjoy the safe swimming pond, beautiful hiking trails, and the campground's proximity to town. While some reviews mention minor concerns like limited water flow at spigots and occasional noise from larger groups, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a favorite camping destination for many.

Perfect place to camp in the fall. Our group had two singles and 1 double campsite and they were all great sites. Bath houses were clean. We’ll be back!

Day 1 was great, weather was good and we cooked on our grill and had a camp fire. The next 2 days it rained and weather was colder but we still enjoyed being there and spending quite time in the woods. We had a great spot with lots of room and close to water supply.

We love Rock Creek and have come before and stayed in a different site. However, I need to put a warning out for all of you longer trailer owners… our site, C28, despite having 50 amp service, was almost impossible to get in to for us. We had to come from the wrong direction and pull into the site across from us (thankfully empty) in order to get into it. There are trees that make the turn impossible from the correct direction and the angle of the driveway is difficult. There are plenty of other sites that work great for us big rigs - just not this one. The site also needed some grading. This is why having to make a reservation blind makes me uncomfortable.
Other than that, the campground is excellent. We didn’t use the bathhouse so I can’t comment on it. The campground was almost completely full but as always quiet and relaxing.
