What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Recreation Area is highly praised for its peaceful and spacious campsites, excellent amenities like electricity, and access to beautiful hiking and biking trails. Many visitors enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly campground hosts, and the scenic wooded surroundings. While some noted minor issues such as limited water flow at spigots and lack of phone service, these were overshadowed by the overall positive experiences and the intention to return.

I'm glad I filled my camper water tanks at home because the park had a water pump failure and nobody had water for a week. Other than that we had a good time,we just had to make the best of it and really stretch our onboard water.

Rock Creek park is our home park for camping. We just love it! Only thing I would change is the reservation time frame.I think placing reservations up to 6 months in the future is too much.I think that 30 days in the future for a reservation would be better just because it hard to plan any dates to camp beyond that timeline. If not 30 days maybe 60 or 90.Really hope management will consider this and I think that the majority of campers that camp here would agree.Like to see a poll on this just to see how many campers would appreciate this change, hope it will happen!

This is a beautiful Campground with lots of trees and foliage between the sites! That is something we really like when camping in a forest. The host was the best we've ever had! Polite helpful and he didn't run it like a concentration camp, like some State campgroundsare run. We will be returning again, just not sure, when? Unfortunately they are only open from May 21st til November 1st. This Campground is one we'd love going to all year round!
