We had the best time at True West Campground this weekend; the owners were very nice and attentive and kept the place clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Miner's Shack and loved it! It also has good access to trails from the Cumberland Valley Trailhead. We will definitely be back!

Had a great time at True West! The new owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had a full hook up site which was close to one of the two barns. The barn is nice and they provide shovels and wheel barrels. They also have shavings for you to use in the stalls free of charge. The trails are great and they are right across the road from the campground. True West is a great place to stay!

Woulda been a bit nicer if somebody was actually there at the right time. Anyways, the place was pretty rough, even with the old western vibe, there’s no reason for the all the buildings to be damn near halfway rotten and fallen down

Phone number doesn’t work, won’t answer emails, booked a campsite and got there they were no where to be found, couldn’t get a response, and there was a trailer in the campsite we booked so I turned around and left and went to a different campground where they were helpful DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE I’m not going to ask for a refund so I don’t have to deal with these people ever again.

When we arrived, around 2:30pm, there was no one around and the office was closed. A neighbor stopped by to inform us that the owners were out of town and their horses had just been seized for neglect two days before.
We had already paid for our stay and had our site, so we stayed.
Never did see the owners. Location is okay, you have to ride through the Spruce Creek area to get to other trails and there are signs up saying it's private.
The campground looks neglected. Not mowed, manure bin overflowing. The actual layout and barns are nice, they just need to be maintained. Some of the sites are taken up by old trailers or farm equipment. The front barn has mats in the stalls, the back barn does not.
Restrooms are in nice shape, clean with decent showers.
