Park host is very unfriendly and unreasonable. My friends and I visit Longbranch annually. We have encountered the same host each year. The host always spoils what would otherwise be an enjoyable experience. This year was no different...
I am 66 years old and have an America The Beautiful Lifetime Pass. I have used my pass numerous times at various locations across the southeast. My card information is listed on the Recreation.gov site (where I make my reservations) and has been used every time without issue. However, this time was different. The host (Mr. Wilkinson) became rude when he could not read my signature on the back of my card. He treated me and my wife like we were criminals trying to cheat the system by using a fraudulent card. He claimed that without my name on the back of the card, it was illegal for him to accept it. He then gave me a pen and told me to print my name over my signature. He then continued to quiz me as if I were a criminal,
Naturally, I am hoping you can fix this problem for everyone's benefit.

Very well maintained location. Bathrooms were very nice. Loved the proximity to the Caney River for kayaking.

Long Branch is our FAVORITE campground! The hosts, Ken and his wife, and the volunteer hosts, Babs and her husband, have become great friends of our camping crew! We’ll be there at least two more times this year!!! We love everything about the campground, just wish every campsite had the metal picnic tables and a fish cleaning station! We also wish we could get better cell service.

As always Long Branch doesn’t disappoint. Beautiful peaceful campground. This site is riverfront with a beautiful view. Nice breezes off the water at nighttime. The only disadvantage is the spotty internet/cell service if you can’t camp without your electronics.

Lovely campground. The campground host was was very nice and the other campers were all friendly. I was traveling solo and had no concerns. Lots of families and a few couples were there. I slept in my car so I didn't have the chance to check the electric or water hookups, but they were there at my site (08). I had a great view overlooking the creek/spillway from the dam. The women's bathrooms were both clean. The showers and laundromat sounded functional, but I didn't use use either amenity so I can't speak to their quality. There is also a playscape for children within the gated campgrounds, and another one in the nearby recreational area outside the campgrounds. Overall, I'd stay again!

Very clean. Only complaint is for the camping pads covered with the tiny gravel that tracks every where

Beautiful location with the river front sites. I would like to give it 5 stars but it advertises WiFi but there’s really No service at all. The desperately needed to add WiFi if they are going to advertise that they have it, as I couldn’t work. We will return, it was a quiet stay.
